Philippines Hop-on Hop-off
The product development and operational rollout of the Philippines Hop-on Hop-off (HOHO) is a special tourism recovery program aimed at revitalizing visitor mobility, enhancing destination accessibility, and stimulating tourism-driven economic activity in major urban tourism centers. The program is designed to provide tourists with the freedom to navigate key metropolitan areas through a seamless and integrated travel system that combines structured transport services with digital tourism solutions. The initiative introduces a modern hop-on, hop-off transport bus network operating on curated tourism routes and supported by a dedicated mobile application. This integrated system enables convenient, safe, and efficient access to major cultural, historical, commercial, and entertainment destinations while improving travel planning, ticketing convenience, real-time navigation, and destination discovery for both domestic and international visitors. By streamlining tourist movement, the program aims to increase visitor length of stay, improve tourism spending distribution, and strengthen linkages within the tourism value chain. The Philippines Hop-on Hop-off services in Metro Manila, Cebu, and Clark are scheduled for reactivation in June 2026 under the implementation of Positive Exposure Productions, Inc.. The reactivation marks the program’s transition toward sustainable and climate-responsive tourism transport solutions, highlighted by the deployment of electric buses as part of its initial installment of Green Solutions for Tourism. These environmentally friendly transport units will be deployed across key tourism cities to support reduced carbon emissions, improved urban mobility efficiency, and enhanced visitor experience. Through its integrated approach to transport modernization, digital tourism enablement, and sustainability adoption, the project contributes to tourism recovery, urban destination competitiveness, and inclusive livelihood support for tourism workers, transport operators, small businesses, and local communities. Ultimately, the Philippines Hop-on Hop-off program positions major Philippine tourism cities as accessible, smart, and resilient destinations capable of meeting evolving global tourism standards.
